How do you put a logo into ice?
Have you ever wondered how logos are put into ice at a hockey or curling arena? There are actually a few different ways it’s done…
The old-fashioned way is to paint the logos using large stencils. Lines and markings are typically painted, and logos can be applied the same way. Stencils are cheap and (usually) reusable.
The disadvantages of a painted logo are that it’s time-consuming, takes special equipment, and that your design will be limited to simple, flat colours.
But what if you want a shaded or textured graphic? What if you need it installed easily and quickly? What if you want to be able to reuse the logo?
